(هي_رائدة) is a program to support early stage women entrepreneurs operating in the ICT secto​r

PROGRAM DETAILS
 

The primary target audience of this program Women entrepreneurs whose product is technology or the entrepreneurs who use technology as an assistive factor to commercialize their products. ​

We focus more on developing the logic side of business development rather than a detailed theoretic approach. The main target is to induce the basic business development functions as a secondary practical skill set allowing them to –efficiently– run a successful operation, eliminating a lot of waste on resources and opportunities, and help onboard them on other entrepreneurship programs within TIEC and the ecosystem at large.
The Women Entrepreneurship program in TIEC (هي_رائدة) is a yearlong program. The target of the program is to train women entrepreneurs on startup methodologies and concepts wherever they are throughout the 27 Egyptian governorates. ​

Who should apply?
 

if you are :

 
A woman.
 
Have a project idea in an ICT related field (Website, Mobile Application, Software, IOT platform, …)
 
Or have any project that can be upgraded with an online platform / digital marketing interface (handicrafts, DIY kits, …)

Then you should apply for our 10 days training program!

What will I develop in (هي_رائدة)?
 

After the 10 days, you will be able to:

 
Validate your business idea.
 
Know the basic pillars that any project is built of.
 
Develop a simple business plan for your project.
 
Create a digital marketing platform for your project and learn how to efficiently manage it. ​
Workshop Details
 
She-Program 
1
Stage (1) – Filtration and selection:
 
1. An announcement is made within the target region through the TIEC social media accounts and the zonal partners.
 

2. The applicants are filtered to pick the eligible applicants. The selection criteria is as follows:
- Older than 21 years (18 in some cases)
- Has a skill or experience that allows her to generate revenue
- Can attend 10 training days (morning trainings)

Stage (2) – Generate your Business:
 
Duration: 2 Days.
 
This training module is built on the ILO’s curriculum Start and Improve your Business.
 
The module tackles the concepts of idea validation, and conducting simple feasibility study components.
 
The module aims at preparing the entrepreneur to start planning specific functions of their claimed business plan.

Stage (3) – Start your Business:
 
Duration: 6 Days.
 
This is the second training module. It is built on the ILO’s curriculum Start and Improve your Business as well.
 
It covers the basic areas that any early stage entrepreneurs needs to know broken down into functions:
- Business Plan Development
- Market Planning
- Business structure & Staffing
- Purchasing
- Costing & financial Planning
- Startup Capital calculation & Sources of Funding

Stage (4) – #SheMeansBusiness:
 
Duration: 1 Day.
 
This is the second training module. It is built on the ILO’s curriculum Start and Improve your Business as well.This is the third training module. It is built on the Facebook’s #SheMeansBusiness curriculum.
 
The training module focuses on training entrepreneurs on digital marketing methodologies and techniques.

Stage (5) – Pitch Day:
 
Duration: 1 Days
 
The pitch day is a day dedicated to hear the final pitches of the camp entrepreneurs.
 
It covers the basic areas that any early stage entrepreneurs needs to know broken down into functions:
- A trial where the entrepreneurs get to present their final business plan and a practical digital marketing platform they chose.
- A small competition as the best 2 teams will be invited to the final demo day that will be held in November 2018 during the Global Entrepreneurship Week.
 
The judges for the pitch day are individuals and representatives from each region’s business community.
 
We depend on this day massively to let the judges review the work done by the entrepreneurs, share their experiences with them and give them directions for the upcoming phase. ​​
